Description
Snare drum, 1976. Laminated wooden body painted red. Heads of skin on oak hoops, tensioned with cords and eight strainers of white painted leather. Snare of gut. Maker's inscription 'BILL WARDER / FOLK INSTRUMENT MAKER / STEVENAGE / HERTS'. A further large paper label is attached to the body of the drum - '1776 BICENTENNIEL 1976 / AMERICA'S 200TH BIRTHDAY / THE SPIRIT OF '76 / IN GOD WE TRUST 1976'. Qantas airline label, blank. An astrological fabric badge is attached, with the sign of Virgo.
