Description

This is an Anglo system concertina, which means that different notes are sounded when the bellows are pushed or pulled. The fretwork case is hexagonal-shaped and has eight-fold, dark-brown leather bellows with patterned paper. There are two slightly angled rows of ebony-tipped buttons on each side, making a total of 20 keys (6 broken), plus an extra air valve button. The player would hold the instrument through two hand straps made of brown leather with red-felt lining.
