Description

This instrument was collected in the field by Percy Horace Gordon Powell-Cotton. It is a single reedpipe made from a hollowed out grain stalk, which has a single beating, idioglottal reed (i.e. reed cut from the surrounding stalk material). The tube is open on both ends, and has a small leather strip attached to close/protect the reed.
